StatFocus

Through StatFocus, the NSCB hopes to increase public appreciation of the provenance of official statistics, the way they are collected, why they are collected, and why they are necessary in policymaking.

NSCB launches new online article StatFocusStatFocus which is released every third Thursday of the month primarily discusses methodologies and processes behind statistics on general interest topics which were developed by the various NSCB inter-agency committees (IACs) and technical committees (TCs).

These committees are expert groups established to resolve statistical issues and problems arising from the production, dissemination and use of statistics through resolutions for approval of the NSCB Executive Board.

StatFocus, which will be released every third Thursday of the month, is the newest addition to NSCB’s regular online articles which include Beyond the Numbers released every first Friday of the month and Sexy Statistics released every last Friday of the month.
