The Bicol Region Statistical Atlas is an initial attempt of the National Statistical Coordination Board, Regional Division V to graphically present important information on the Region's municipalities.  The atlas showcases relevant data/indicators presented in prototype maps for all the provinces of Bicol Region to further serve the needs of local planners and policy makers.

The thematic maps display the spatial pattern of a social or physical phenomenon, such as population density, life expectancy or climate change. It makes possible the integration of data from various sources such as surveys and administrative-based data and from different disciplines such as social, economic and environment data. These maps can serve as very useful tools to local government units as well as provincial local chief executives, particularly in identifying priority areas that should benefit from  programs and interventions.
